Japan is shaken by extreme weather and diastrophism. A gigantic monster Mono appears from a crack in the ground which was created by a major volcanic eruption that occurred 250 years earlier. Nothing works to destroy the giant beast. Meanwhile, Doctor Saigo and his daughter Miwa have a major breakthrough in biotechnology.
