Prepare to blast off from planet Earth in one of the most popular classic sci-fi films of all time! While this film was famously lampooned by MST3K, it was arguably undeserving of that fate, particularly within the context of decent SF films of its era. (Though it won’t reach a level where it could nudge “Forbidden Planet” aside.) They did spend some $$ on realizing it, which is more than you could say for so many others.
