Illusions of Love is a lost gem. It is a rare title that has not been available to the public for some time. The movie is a psychological sex drama originally shot around 1972 but never released. Some footage with Linda Vale was filmed in 1980 and the complete movie was finally released in 1981. The film features a young Jamie Gillis playing a husband haunted by thoughts of jealousy about his wife played by Susan Sloan who had already retired from the adult industry by the time this film was released. Mainstream actor Sonny Landham and Heather Ellis lend their talents to this emotional tale of matrimonial insecurity and betrayal.
The copy for the title is incorrect. The part about the one scene is partly correct. The scene was added to the Command Video re-release on VHS in 1981
The film was released in 1975. I played Seattle Washington at the Mid-Town theater on January 7 1976.
