Emotionally scarred but still alive after his close encounter with the charismatic but deranged criminal mastermind, Dr Hannibal Lecktor, the now-retired F.B.I. I think this is better than “Silence Of The Lambs” and it came out before it. Great film not to me missed, in my opinion.

A bit surprised that you don’t seem to have Mann’s “Heat”, one of the great crime films. Unless my search just missed it here. The 1989 made for TV film “LA Takedown” was basically a rough dry run for it, but lacking a cast or budget at all adequate to really pull it off. Students of film may find the path of development between these two quite interesting. What needs to be done to achieve a much better result.
