The cartoonish and childish character Pee-wee Herman goes on a big adventure for the first time ever when his beloved shiny new bicycle is stolen by his nemesis Francis Buxton, a fellow man-child and neighborhood rich “kid.” And he sets off on an obsessive cross-country journey, determined to recover it. Pee-wee’s awkward and childish attempts to be cool and mature.
Good, fun family movie. It’s nice to see this on here.
Burton’s 1st classic, thanks for filling my request.
Gestures, expressions.. Rowan Atkinson owes a lot to character of Pee-wee Herman. And the writers of The Simpsons have seen this movie too. In the Simpsons episode Take my wife, sleaze, Homer founds a biker gang and names it to Hell’s Satans with well-known consequences. The members of the real Hell’s Satan were very similar to the gang in this movie, which was called Satan’s Helpers :)
