Surgeon Craig Barton is making love to his wife, Sherry, when they are engulfed by a blinding blue light. When they come to, two hours have passed of which they have no memory whatsoever. Sherry, now pregnant, undergoes hypnosis, and recalls being taken on board an alien space ship and examined by extra terrestrials, both externally and internally. She dismisses these memories as dreams, but Craig becomes obsessed with the foetus now growing within her, believing it to be of alien origin.
