A single eventful night in the lives of a crew of Los Angeles-based, trans-Pacific stewardesses, as they experiment with drugs and engage in various sexual encounters.
One of the major boxoffice successes of the 3D craze. There had been a few editions of this kicking around over the years, including one that tried to replicate the 3D experience on your tv. (?) This is probably the most complete and best resolution one. Cult actress Monica Gayle puts in a brief, uncredited though memorable appearance: nearly unrecognizable from her other turns in films like “Strawberries Need Rain”, “Switchblade Sisters”, and “Nashville Girl.”
Recently had a chance to re-watch this, from an 8GB Blu-Ray rip. (But *not* another BR edition said to have been released at some point, reportedly containing hardcore inserts by other, later actors, plus some interview extras. This was just the movie itself, though apparently at the full running time.) Some comments based on that:
If like me you are a fan of 3D in general, it can really make a difference *which* anaglyph glasses you use to view a particular film. The viewing results can vary quite a lot. So, I keep a collection of different ones available.
Prior to re-checking IMDB, I did not know that the director of this film was the brother of veteran screenwriter / producer Stirling Silliphant.
While by no means a good film, this no-story-there low-budgeter has some of the sharper, better 3D photography that I’ve seen — at least in the edition referenced — up until Cameron’s “Avatar.” It is notable for that aspect alone.
Apparently trying to replicate his earlier success, this director made a couple more 3D outings that are super obscure and maybe impossible to find:
Surfer Girls

&
Supersonic Supergirls
1973 | X | 1h 31m

I’d be very curious to view them, in their 3D versions.
