Gandu is an angry young man who raps about his hatred of life, and of his mother. He and his rickshaw-puller friend enter the world of smack, rap, porn and horror. Reality and fiction, surreal and bizarre come together. Can Gandu survive? Gandu has caused some controversy because of language and scenes of nudity and sex. Because of the controversy the film did not have its first public screening in India until 2012 at the Osian Film Festival. The main star Anubrata Basu is shown with his penis fully erect in a sex scene with Rii Sen.
