Having encountered deadly shark attacks most of their lives, the Brody family is in for a shock, after yet another shark-related death on Amity Island only a few days before Christmas. Convinced that a silent underwater predator is victimising her family after the shark killings in Jaws (1975) and Jaws 2 (1978), grief-stricken Ellen Brody tries to start afresh by spending time with her son’s Michael’s family in the Bahamas; however, there, too, there seems to be no escape from the nightmare. Now, for fear of reliving the horrors of the past, Ellen must summon up the courage to face the all-too-familiar great white shark that has been haunting her dreams for the past years, and put an end to its reign of terror once and for all.
