A fashion model moves into a house inhabited (on the top floor) by a blind priest. She begins having strange physical problems, has trouble sleeping at night, and has some nasty flashbacks of her attempted suicide. She complains to the real estate agent of the noise caused by her strange neighbors, but finds out that the house is only occupied by the priest and herself, and ultimately discovers that she has been put in the house for a reason.
Winner was a winner (Death Wish, The Mechanic, The Nightcomers) and this film was daring and brilliant. An all-star cast brings to life the story of a young woman with baggage who lives in a building that happens to be the gateway to hell. Rosemary and her baby never had it this good. Full of great shocks including an ending worthy of Tod Browning’s Freaks.
Thanks for posting NLZ!
Great film
Thanks!
Thank you
I hadn’t fully explored the ‘guts’ of the site thus far and was pleasantly surprised to find this. What a wonderful film to find. You really do have some amazing Classic horror movies here – This is hands down one of the very best collections of movies of this genre on the entire internet that I have ever stumbled upon… and respect to you for compiling this impressive collection ! it’s a huge effort over time obviously, and many/ or most of the links are still active. Just amazing.
Thanks for this rip! This film is full of character actors in supporting roles and actors in minor uncredited parts who went on to become stars like Goldblum, Tom Berenger or R. Dreyfuss. Winner directed some real gems in the seventies but the success of Death Wish seems to have derailed his career. This was the last solid film he directed, certainly better than the current 6.3 on Imdb imo.
Smooth. Always a favorite of mine. Previous comments are a joy to read. Makes me glad to be late to the party. ;) Thank you NLZ.
