Scalise is released from prison after a six-year stint for armed robbery. His uncle in Milan has lined up a job for him as a truck driver for a firm that makes artificial flowers. Scalise finds his cousin Maria is a hooker and tries to free her from the shackles of prostitution. To do this, he enters into a ‘one time’ business arrangement with the head of the local crime syndicate, Don Ciccio. But Ciccio has Marina kidnapped and brought to his mansion and keeps her under lock and key, strung out on smack. Now Scalise is forced into a permanent working relationship with the crooked Don. This involves smuggling heroin in the artificial flowers that he delivers.
