Thanks! First time I’ve seen this one. At first glance one could think this is a mockumentary but it is actually a teriffic documentary. There are parts where they make fun of Ken Carter and highlight how terribly unprepared and underfunded he was but imo it illustrated how pointless daredevil record attempts really are. Some of the financial backers were probably Canadian farmers who lost their savings.
One Imdb reviewer calls Carter a Don Quixote in the flesh. Not surprisingly Carter was killed while attempting a much less spectacular stunt.
