Six diverse individuals who have no connection with one another experience a series of bizarre hallucinations which invariably end with images of Easter Island. They are: Maurice, a French geomancer and descendent of a long line of sorcerers; Norma, a Brazilian astronomer; Alexandra, a medium from Chile; Françoise, a French ethnologist; Helvio, an entomologist; and Irenio, a Brazilian musician. Separately, these six people feel driven to undertake the journey to Easter Island. Alexandra takes with her her boyfriend, Alain Valserra, a psychologist. Alain is reluctant to go, but Alexandra instinctively feels that his presence will be essential. Arriving on the island, the party discovers a cave in which the mystery will be revealed to them. Every five hundred years, there is an astral alignment which allows beings far away to communicate with the people on Earth…
